Job Description:Ensure all disciplines are in place and transactions are executed to assure inventory accuracy of purchased parts, raw materials, and manufactured product within the ERP system. Minimum Requirements:Matric/ Grade 12Minimum tertiary qualification / technical diploma and/or specific training on supply chain management3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceQAD and ESB knowledge is advantageous Responsibilities:Train and monitor the functional areas within the plant to ensure that all inventory transactions are performed correctly and on a timely basis to improve overall accuracy of the perpetual inventory systems; this includes but is not limited to production and scrap reporting, receipt entry, timely and accurate back-flushing of raw materialsResponsible for coordinating all cycle count and leading physical inventory processIdentify potential root causes and drive the investigation of these root causes with responsible departmentsImplement corrective actions of inventory variancesParticipate in BOM reviews for all manufactured parts, work with BOM and Systems Specialist to ensure items are transacting correctlyMonitor and investigate QAD negative inventory re portLead efforts to organize visual inventory systems on the shop floorAssist in coordination of engineering/process changes, minimization of obsolete materials and NDI inventoryParticipate in launch events and meetingsSystem or process improvements/suggestions should be brought to the attention of upper managementEnsure compliance to all IOS, IATF and internal plant procedures / processesSupport and coordinate 4-walll counts, done on a minimal basis of once per yearResponsible to set-up all admin activities for this process, including arranging count sheets, count identification, preparing count packs, controlling counts during stock take and supporting in investigationsWorking with Material Planners to priorities critical counts, timely investigation and execution of corrections when requested Competencies / Skills: Detailed understanding and experience working with MRP systemsKnowledge and working experience with QAD or MFG Pro is beneficial.Previous supervisory experience advantageousMust possess excellent communications skills and can work effectively with all other functional groups throughout the organizationKnowledge of material flow (FIFO, KANBAN, FCA & JIS)Accurate Document ControlAble to process time sensitive information and orders to meet deadlinesAbility to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and generate presentations when requiredThe person will need to have excellent analytical skills to problem solve and implement permanent corrective action
