Company DescriptionRole DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at Verdant Orchards located in the far north of SA. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the running of the business, including managing staff, ensuring the quality of produce, implementing and maintaining safety regulations, and coordinating with suppliers and customers. The General Manager will also be responsible for budgeting, financial management, and implementing the strategic plans as approved by the board. the GM will report to the Group COO and will be accountable for the performance of the business. The role is a senior one and will be compensated accordingly based on the group remuneration policy. It will also require relocation to the operation where housing will also be provided. QualificationsExperience in orchard or agricultural management and the citrus industry specifically of greater than 15 years at senior management / business management levels. Knowledge of horticulture and fruit productionStrong leadership and managerial skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and prioritise tasksUnderstanding of budgeting and financial managementProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAttention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field.Recruitment will start immediately with a view to appointing the candidate during July with a view to being on site by the end of September.#J-18808-Ljbffr
