The Account Manager is responsible to achieve the agreed targets of sales and profitability for the assigned customers in his/her region and to maintain and develop a sustainable relationship. The Account Manager drives the development and implementation of the respective customer’s strategy. He/she is responsible for driving results into the business (sales, margin and receivables and inventories). The Account Manager is responsible to achieve the agreed targets of sales and profitability for the assigned customers in his/her region and to maintain and develop a sustainable relationship. The Account Manager drives the development and implementation of the respective customer’s strategy. He/she is responsible for driving results into the business (sales, margin and receivables and inventories). Duties&Responsibilities Develop and execute the sales account plans to ensure targets are met. • Maintain a sustainable relationship with the customer and opens new growth opportunities. • Hold the ownership for correct pricing and margins, claim handling, payments, and contract negotiations. • Responsible to implement price reviews and to drive cost recovery models in place at customer. • Drive cost, value added and efficiency initiatives. • Support exceptional quality and product delivery. • Drives innovation together with Product Management and the customer. • Collect market data and develop the yearly account budget. • Works closely with the global Sales Account Management team to align overall sales strategy. • Responsible for quality of the information that is fed back into the group. • Understand the market drivers, the deliverables, and competitors of the customer. Align these to the strategy of the client. • Holds the responsibility to communicate and drive timelines/critical paths, samples collection and other tasks in project management. • Have ownership for the formalization of customer SLA’s. • Responsible for pipeline development and this is weekly updated with correct information. • Responsible for-profit improvement initiatives at the customer • Understand market synergies, trends and market prices and is responsible to communicate that information back to EMM market price database. • Frequents visits to customers and prioritize time in front of the customer. • Responsible for accurate sales forecasting and demand management Desired Experience&Qualification Matric (Grade 12) • Sales or Marketing Qualification (Degree preferred) • Fluent in English • Experience in an Account Management role with proven delivery of new business (essential) • Commercial Understanding (pricing methods / margin management • Willing to travel locally (potential for overseas travel occasionally • Advanced ERP and Microsoft Office Skills with strong excel skills • Basic Financial Understanding • Manufacturing understanding preferred in the Packaging Industry.
