RS Recruitment Services is assisting a large RETAIL COMPANY based in PINETOWN to source an ACCOUNTANT reporting to the Divisional Accountant. Approximately R35 000 per month + benefits. (Employment equity candidates will be given preference.) OUR CLIENT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IS PART OF A GROUP OF 350 RETAIL STORES ACROSS SOUTHERN AFRICA. Purpose of the PositionTo provide financial controls and ensure statutory compliance for the business. Applicants should have/be the following:A Matric certificate.Degree in Financial Accounting essentialSAP experience an added advantage2 years post qualification experience in financial position, with articlesAdvance MS PackageExperience in a supervisory roleAssertivenessGood communication and interpersonal skillsIndependent and able to work under pressure Duties & Responsibilities but not limited to:Ensure compliance with regulations / policies / procedures / VAT / Tax (complete VAT Recon; prepare Tax Packs and deal with all SARS queries).Complete Month-end Trail Balance.Ensure that the budget is set according to the Central office budget guidelines.Submission of Daily / Weekly / Monthly and quarterly review and feedback reports to the Finance ManagerGeneral ledger recons are completed within weeks of closing the general ledger.Prepare for ICM Audits.Ensure excellent management of staff.Achieves the agreed productivity targets/standards.Adheres to legislative requirements.
