Financial Director - Pietermaritzburg, South Africa - Scitech Placements DescriptionKwaZulu Natal, PietermaritzburgR R Annually Cost To CompanyWe are looking for a Financial Director in PietermaritzburgLocation:Pietermaritzburg, KZN (ZA)Industry:ManufacturingStaff Compliment:approx. 200 in SAReporting to:Germany, EUFinance Director Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirect and monitor all financial activities of the organizationManage company cash flowOutline and implement companywide budget plansPrepare monthly management accounts and annual company financial statements.Oversee all accounting work and set up internal and external audits to ensure the accuracy of information.Work with and advise the management team on solid financial decisionmaking to increase profits and minimize lossesProvide strategic financial planning advice to upper management for longterm growthEstablish internal work processes for the financial departmentMaintain and manage client relationshipsAnalyze and interpret financial data and provide insightful monthly financial reports to the senior executives and HQ in Germany including variance analysis.Stay abreast of current market trends and patterns and act accordinglyAsses company spending and work to reduce costsManage the finance department, training any new employees as necessaryEnsure Human Resources salary and wage statutory compliance.Have a clear understanding of and adhere to current laws and regulationsAssessing, managing and minimizing riskAttend to any tax requirements to ensure tax complianceReporting to Managing DirectorFinance Director Requirements and QualificationsMinimum ofBachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field eg CA, CIMA or BCOM:Member of a recognized professional accounting body in good standing-10+ years experience in a senior finance position:Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Pastel payroll and other business software egBAAN:Extremely knowledgeable in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and taxationStrong interpersonal skills with the propensity to successfully foster new and maintain longstanding business relationshipsExcellent communication skills, both orally and written.Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient mannerOutstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressureExpert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decisionmakerPossess strong leadership skills, business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking.For more information please contact:Fiona Simango#J-18808-Ljbffr
