RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced trade tested MILLWRIGHT for a well-established company, position based in Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu-Natal. REQUIREMENTSGrade 12.Valid drivers license / own reliable vehicle. Relevant trade qualification.Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).English speaking (must be able to speak, read and write English competently).5yrs+ previous working experience as a Millwright within flexible packaging industry.Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine the appropriate measures to correct them.Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including walking, climbing, standing, sitting, and lifting.Ability to read and interpret blueprints for trouble shooting, repairs, and process and safety improvements.Assembling and installing machines.Testing of newly installed machines to ensure that it operates correctly.Dismantling and removal of machines as needed.Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and by ensuring that preventative maintenance is conducted by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts.Maintaining accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules, as well as knowledge of general and preventative maintenance procedures.Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations.Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts.Performing weekly safety checks to ensure a safe and clean environment and eliminate all hazards.
