RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced trade tested MAINTENANCE MANAGER for a well-established company, position based in Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu-Natal. REQUIREMENTSGrade 12.Valid drivers license / own reliable vehicle. Relevant trade qualification.Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).English speaking (must be able to speak, read and write English competently).4yrs+ previous working experience as a Maintenance Manager within flexible packaging industry.The maintenance of a facility and ensuring all equipment and assets are functioning properly and that safety standards are met.Oversee and responsible for all maintenance and preventative maintenance on machines and buildings. Ensuring that the maintenance department is compliant with the ISO procedures and documentation.Responsible for the maintenance staff both electrical and mechanical.Responsible for building maintenance.Control maintenance stores and order inventory, when necessary, i.e. parts, spares, tools and housekeeping.Responsible for workshop tools and staff tool boxes.Draw up and control maintenance schedule for each machine and department.Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.Control sub-contractors.Ensure call out book is filed out correctly with time in/out, work carried out, machine worked on.Ensure all breakdowns are attended to timeously.Coordinate major maintenance and repairs.Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.Coach, mentor, train and develop maintenance employees to meet current and future business requirements.Manage the maintenance expenses by ensuring best practices in the industry.Build an upkeep long term relationships with contractors and service providers.Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
