Overview:Lead the engineering processes to ensure that the organisation meets their customer needs whilst maintaining safety standards and achieving operational excellence targets.  This role is responsible for the following:Repair, maintenance and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, systems, instrumentation, utilities and site facilitiesGeneral machinery regulations complianceEnergy managementSite security and cleaningKey accountabilities and outputs:Lead the various engineering teamsDevelop and execute a proactive maintenance and repair programLead and manage engineering projectsEnsure OEM standards are adhered to on all machineryMonitor energy usageImplement programs to continuously reduce energy load and consumption Develop and update quarterly an Engineering Strategy that outlines the key focus areas of the function for the current financial year, and longer term considerationsDevelop and update the financial budget for the function on an annual and quarterly basisAnalyse monthly financial performanceRequirements:System and application knowledge e.g. CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)Significant technical knowledge and experience (minimum of 8 years) in an engineering management rolePrevious experience managing a large team across 3 or more departments essentialExperience working in a production / manufacturing environmentPMB based or prepared to relocateQualifications:Grade 12 with a pass mark for Mathematics literacy and EnglishProficient in MS Office applications Valid drivers licence essentialBachelors / Honours Degree with GOVERNMENT CERTIFICATION ticket in MECHANICAL or ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING is essentialA minimum of 8 years experience in engineering managementSuitable applications can be emailed to liezel@pronel.co.za Note:  Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
