Description: RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT DESIGN ENGINEER for a large international company, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. JOB DESCRIPTION Grade 12. Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle. Minimum BSc Degree in Electronic Engineering. Position involves research and development of new products, from initial concept through to a fully qualified, robust prototype using sound engineering principles. 3 - 4 years working experience in an electronics manufacturing environment. Solid Hardware (electronics) experience in Analogue and Digital Design (this involves Schematic and PCB design). Solid Firmware development experience with Embedded Systems and C. Experience in Compliance Testing for Certifications of Product. Write or modify PC Based Software in Visual Software Suites. Plan a project accurately given a complete specification. CPLD, FPGA Design experience would be an added advantage. DSP experience would be an added advantage. Ability to impart knowledge of product and train Industrial Engineering, Engineering Services, Test and Repairs Departments at handover. Salary package offered: - To be discussed
