This role is responsible for:• Providing the business with data-driven insights, obtained through both standard reports and ad-hoc analyses. It requires the establishment of standard dashboards and reports to enable the business to monitor and improve performance across various departments. Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe role supports commercial, operational, and financial decision-making through advanced analytical modelling, using large sets of data.• The secondary focus of the role includes ad-hoc design and optimization projects, as well as assistance with costings and solution design for new business initiatives.OBJECTIVES• Improve resource utilisation and associated costs through analytical insights.• Drawing clear conclusions through data analysis.• Support operational, commercial, and financial decisions.• Identify issues and trends and discuss with the responsible managers.• Properly designed and costed solutions using appropriate fleet and network design modelling.• Driving “cost to serve” optimisation by principals, regions and service levels and network partners.• Identifying and driving continuous improvement projects with key stakeholders in the businessDesired Experience & Qualification• Industrial Engineering Degree (preferred)• BCom Honours (Logistics / Supply Chain Management)JOB - RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS• Minimum 2 years data analytics experience in an integrated logistics or supply chain environment• Advanced Excel modelling and analytical skills• Advanced skills in Power BI.• Experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python or R will be advantageous.• Network modelling (either using Advanced modelling software or advance Excel models)• Trained and experienced in Cost to Serve modelling and analytics.• Very strong data management and database usage skills• Experience in structured ongoing continuous improvement function – diagnostics, value identification, solution generation, value extraction.• Experience in Sales and Operations planning will be advantageous.• Ability to translate quantitative outputs into a well-structured presentation format.• Strong communication and people skillsPERSONALITY AND ATTRIBUTES Minimum:• Positive• Passionate• Self-starter capable of working independently,• Internal locus of control with high performance standards• Attention to detail• Tenacious• Exceptional work ethic• Ability to effectively communicate and translate analytics for broader audiences• Pragmatic and practical approach to managing business and real world trade-off• “Can do” attitude• Ability to influence and co-opt buy-in• Willing and able to travel at times• Must have own vehicle HR Services, Recruitment & Selection These jobs were popular with other job seekers#J-18808-Ljbffr
