Treasury Accountant: Bank Charges - MATERNITY CONTRACT Job DescriptionThe Treasury team is responsible for overall treasury management including the mitigation of interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, liquidity management and cost curtailment.Key Responsibilities:Calculation of cash deposit fees in according with pricing letters across various banks.Assessing bank billings for reasonability and querying and investigating variances with banks.Forecasting of bank charges by division for the quarterly forecasting cycles, budget cycle and three-year plan.Timely receipt and capture of bank charges invoices from vendors on Coupa.Scrutiny of bank charges for any irregular billings, incorrect sub-account clearing allocations and missing transactions.Preparation of monthly bank charges analysis.Compilation, reporting and review of month-end payments by function including query management and resolution.Treasury reconciliations preparation and execution for review by the respective reviewer.Qualifications and Experience:Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent2-5 years of relevant working experienceSAP knowledge an advantageSkills:Reconciliation and AnalysisStrong computer skills with good working knowledgeAttention to detailTime managementPlanning skillsAccounting and ReportingCash ManagementFinancial Risk ManagementExcellent project management skillsStrong business communication skills with an ability to work well in a collaborative environment with senior executivesAbility to draft commentary, analyse information to establish key messages, present information both visually and writtenBehaviours:Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, interpersonal relations, problem solving, teamwork & written communicationComfortable and effective influencer.You need to be flexible as the environment is very dynamic and priorities can change.Inspires, motivates and empowers individuals to go above and beyond for the benefit of the team and the organisation.Creates an environment that fosters and nurtures a culture of creativity which drives successSets ambitious goals and takes focused action to achieve desired outcomes to deliver measurable resultsAdapts effectively to situations that are complex, uncertain, or lack guidelines and clear informationInterprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problemsAssesses and improves the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of various work processesDevelops plans and prioritises initiatives that align to the organisational goals and objectivesEffectively adjusts their behaviour, approach, and decision-making based on the situationThinks and plans strategically, focusing on the long-term goals and objectives of the organisationLeverages new technology to enhance productivity, improve problem solving, and support business growthPreference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.About UsWho we are is because of our people.
