Winemaker (Paarl) Closing Date : 2024-05-17 Closed : No Description: Our client, a wine estate situated in the Paarl region, has a position available for a dynamic and energetic Winemaker to join their team. The ability to function well in a team, whilst producing world class wines, are essential to the role. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and will be responsible for (but not be limited to): *Full winemaking process for organic wines *Blending and stabilization of wine *Ensure cellar hygiene are compliant with food safety, quality control and H&S systems *Managing dry goods *Leading the cellar team *Liaison with suppliers *Active participation in marketing and other trade related events *Assist with maintenance of machinery and equipment *All other standard winemaking functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • BSc Agric Viticulture and Oenology, Elsenburg qualification or similar; • Approximately 5-8 years' experience in a similar position as an Organic Winemaker; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, WineMS); • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
