1 month ago Be among the first 25 applicants A Maintenance Supervisor position exists within a fast-growing food manufacturing company that is based in Klapmuts, Cape Winelands, South Africa. Main Function Responsible for the maintenance of all the company equipment and the facilities. Provide technical and engineering support to the manufacturing operations to help meet the company objectives, targets and customer demands. Ensure all maintenance issues are resolved within a timely manner so not to affect production requirements. Work towards maintaining up time of critical machinery and ensue all machinery is maintained to standard so not to affect product quality. Ensure that all maintenance and manufacturing processes comply with all relevant Health and Safety and Environmental legislation. Key Performance Areas 2.Implement and Maintain Total Productive Maintenance 3.Increase (OEE) Overall Equipment Efficiency 4.Implement and execute Planned Maintenance 5.Reduce unplanned downtime 6.Manage maintenance cost 7.Manage maintenance stock Minimum Qualifications and Ability The position requires the following knowledge and abilities: 2.Knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering 3.Computer literacy, Emails, Excel and Word 4.Leadership ability 5.Hands one approach 6.Faulty finding knowledge Role description and job duties The positions will report to the Site Manager. The positions will be responsible for the following: 1)Perform Mechanical and basic electrical maintenance on the company buildings, equipment and machinery. 2)To inspect and do preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery, such as, but not limited to: - Boilers - Cookers - Dry blending (Mixers) - Labellers - Pumps - Tanks - Valves - Motors 3)Inspect the buildings regularly for defects and rectify where necessary 4)Do regular checks on all safety and fire related equipment 5)Ensure that there are adequate parts in stock and do regular stock take 6)Ensure that the equipment and material is kept clean and in good working order 7)Inspect and test all Tanks, Sump pumps and vehicles for damage 8)Attend to all plumbing and drainage blocking and repairs 9)Inspect Gas Bulk area and document levels 10) Fix as per request or complaints all matters relating to maintenance 11) Assist All departments with matters relating to maintenance 12) Attend all meetings as requested 13) Maintain all documents and files related to safety and legal regulations regarding the company assets 14) Assist contractors as per request 15) Check entire building daily for any defects 16) Document and maintain repairs on a CMMS 17) Submit finished work orders to Manager 18) Provide assistance to semi-skilled or unskilled workers 19) Operate and maintain various power tools and equipment manuals 21) Clean up job site after work and return equipment and tools 22) Maintain a clean work environment 23) Action all the safety and risk items 24) RELIABLE TRANSPORT A MUST 25) From time to time you will be required to perform the following ado duties as may be required by the company a)Perform standby duty c)Perform procurement and inventory duties d)Perform logistical duties e)Perform stand-in duties for other department supervisors f)Perform any other ad hoc duties deemed by management to be within your skill set and ability.
