The purpose of the position is to co-ordinate all the functions and activities related to the provision of quality patient care in a Hospital environment, excellent service to doctors, visitors and support services in a cost effective manner, as well as motivating, supporting and optimizing staff performance and education in order to achieve optimum functioning of the unit.CRITICAL OUTPUTSConform with Doctors requirements/expectations, remaining within the scope of practice as well as being patients advocatesEnsure the management of all related nursing services and activities in the unit, according to Intercare objectives, policies and proceduresMaintain effective discipline in accordance to Intercare’s Code of Conduct and disciplinary codesEnsure safe and correct use of all equipmentMonthly monitoring of cost centre expenditure against budgetMaintain effective relationships with specialists, external bodies and associationsREQUIREMENTSProof of registration as a Registered Nurse with SANCPost basic qualification in Operating Theatre technique essentialRelevant Management experience of at least 3 yearsAt least 5 years experience in an Operating theatreConflict handling & performance management skillsProficient in MS OfficeIf your personal purpose is aligned to our purpose and your values fit in with our value system, please apply.
