Warehouse Manager – Paarden Eiland, Cape Town – R35k to R40kOverview: My client, a leading name in the tile and home improvement industry, has a vacancy for a Warehouse Manager. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards and regulations. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, extensive experience in warehouse management, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of customer service.Requirements:· Minimum Grade 12 National Certificate· Minimum 3-year tertiary diploma or degree in: Logistics Management; Supply Chain Management; Operations Management; Business Administration with a focus on logistics or operations; Industrial Engineering or similar relevant qualification.· 5-10 years of warehouse working experience in the FMCG/Wholesale industry, with at least 5 years at a management level.· Working knowledge of inventory management ERP software, with Kerridge knowledge and experience being advantageous.· Must be fluent in both English & Afrikaans in reading, writing and speaking.· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate employees.· Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.· Above-average proficiency in MS Office applications.· Ability to work under pressure, and according to tight deadlines.· Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.· Excellent timekeeping, work ethic, and attendance record.· Willingness to work extended trading times, weekends, and public holidays.· Own reliable carKey Responsibilities:· Monitor and oversee the receiving and dispatching processes to ensure timely and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing stock.· Plan and oversee the process of picking and packing of stock, ensuring accuracy and sufficient space for storage.· Facilitate the process of cycle counting of stock using Kerridge software to maintain accurate inventory records.· Manage bi-annual stock counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records.· Ensure all breakages are processed and disposed of according to established procedures.· Manage day-to-day administration and management of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.· Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including fire safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), stacking procedures, and general safety in the warehouse and yard.· Perform daily opening and closing procedures for the warehouse.· Address and resolve customer complaints related to warehouse operations.· Maintain the highest level of customer service by ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.· Manage costs and usage of warehouse consumables to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.Suitable applicants must demonstrate the following knowledge and abilities· Warehousing and stock control methods and procedures· Health and safety regulations.· Ability to learn and adapt quickly· Able to work in a pressurized environment· Attention to detailApplication process: Interested candidates who meet the above requirements are encouraged to submit their CV in MS Word format, along with a cover letter highlighting relevant experience, qualifications, clear copy of valid driver's license and head and shoulder photo of yourself to samanthajobs@wcp.co.zaWe thank all applicants for your interest, however if you are not contacted within 7 days then consider your application unsuccessful.#J-18808-Ljbffr
