REQUIREMENTSMatric, Certificate in Payroll managementHigh level of proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, but also Word for mail merges)Certified Payroll Administrator Practitioner or Certified Payroll Practitioner advantageousMinimum 3-5 years work experience in a relevant positionProficiency in payroll softwareExperience with accounting software (Sage X3 advantageous) and preparation of payroll reconciliationsExtensive knowledge of South African Labour and Tax LawsExperience with loading payments on banking platformsAbility to works well under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAttention to detailDUTIESManage all aspects relating to payroll, from inception, with deductions and tax considerations, up to reparation of the payroll import files for the bank and tax payment files for SARSEnsure payroll taxes and deductions are correctly calculated and paid on time for both monthly and semi-annual reconciliationsPrepare input documentation for external payroll maintenance companyProcessing any payroll changes as communicated by Human Capital such as new hires, terminations, increases, reimbursements, changes, and deductions etc.Review payroll reports generated from payroll software by the external payroll maintenance companyResolve issues and answer payroll-related questions relating to the external financial audit as well as any SARS enquiriesPreparations of quarterly payroll reconciliations and recommendation of payroll journals to the Senior Accountants for processing in the accounting software packageSubmission and reconciliation of Workmans Compensation notices and ensuring that payments are made within deadlinesEnsure that a valid Letter of Good Standing is always in place for the relevant entities in South AfricaIndirect reporting line to the Head of Human Capital for all leave activities and any other payroll enquiriesAttending to payroll enquiries from employees in consultation with Head of Human Capital and Change ManagementResponsible for exploring potential deductions for the company with regard to Skills Development spendMonthly monitoring and reporting on all employee leave, including:Sick leave identifying patterns and risk areasStudy leave being correctly managedLeave-in-lieu being awardedExpiry of leaveReconciliation of leave between the various attendance systemsMonitoring timesheet submission and ensuring all timesheets are submitted Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience Join us on SOCIAL MEDIA or visit our WEBSITE for more information.
