We love bringing our young learners from around the world together through a common language and building global connections._________________________________________________________________________________________Position Summary:The Centre Manager is responsible for the leadership of the Centre’s operations including managing the Centre staff, student discipline, student welfare, and financials. In addition, that the day-to -day operations of the centre run smoothly while overseeing the running of the activity programmes. Successful CMs are expected to demonstrate effective communication and administrative skills, leadership, flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to be sensitive to the needs of international students.Key Responsibilities:Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contactManaging, leading, and inspiring a team of colleagues dedicated to students’ development and welfareMaximising students and group leaders' satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectationsEnsuring the centre operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety, safeguarding, HR practicesEnsuring the programme runs within the pre-determined budgets & take responsibility for the submission of all administrationSpecific duties include:To train, induct and inspire the centre teamTo oversee staff performance and behaviour and ensure that staff demonstrate and adhere to safe and healthy working practices at all timesTo conduct meeting and inductions for students and Group leadersTo review or complete accurate occupancy and accounting administrationTo liaise with the Recruitment Team to ensure they are aware of day-to-day staffing requirementsTo support the Activity Management team, the Welfare & Accommodation TeamTo manage, complete and update staff rotas consistent with actual working hours to inform payroll within the deadlines set by the Operations ManagerTo complete or review accurate rooming and allocation plansTo oversee student arrivals and departures procedures are in place and adhered toTo manage the third parties’ relationship and create a positive relationshipOrganisational Compliance:The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.Education Required:Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towardsValid First Aid Certificate (Desirable)Safeguarding Level 1 and 2 (Desirable – if not in possession, Embassy Summer will provide the necessary courses upon successful selection)Experience Required:Management experience in junior education / learningExperience working with juniorsExperience leading a teamExperience in a role involving organisation / logistics / travelA high degree of IT competency - Outlook & MS Office (specifically Excel)Experience Desired:Management experience in a summer school environmentManaging multiple departments and teamsKnowledge of MaltaPersonal Attributes:Ability to lead and inspire a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organisational and planning skillsAbility to deal and resolve complex problems and issuesAbility to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlinesDemonstrates the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young peopleDemonstrates emotional resilience in working with challenging behavioursDemonstrates a positive attitude to the use of authority and maintaining disciplineDemonstrates an exceptional level of attention to detailEligibility and Safe Recruitment:Applicants MUST be eligible to work in the EU.Embassy Summer is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment:AllgapsinCVs must be explained satisfactorilyProof of identity and (where applicable) qualifications will be requiredClear Criminal Record Check and references will be required prior signature of the contractWorking Week:6 days* outof 7 (1 day off per week)All management roles are residential* Maximum weekly hours will be detailed in the Offer LetterRemuneration:Our competitive Management weekly pay, inclusive of accommodation, will be based on the size of the centre and experience.
