Financial Manager (Renewable Energy) required in Cape Town. Are you a CA(SA) who has worked in the renewable energy space? Our client is looking for a strong team player, who enjoys taking on new projects, the operational side of business and bringing the financial aspects (including corporate governance) of the project to a close. This is an exciting, demanding role, within a dynamic renewable energy company. Renewable energy experience is a non-negotiable pre-requisite. Requirements: Matric, bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent Minimum of five years’ renewable energy experience Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5 years renewable energy experience Member of SAICA Advanced excel knowledge, CaseWare, Pastel, Oracle Knowledge of renewable energy is highly desirable. Experience in setting up and managing administration and finance management systems Understanding of budgeting, reporting and audit processes Strong analytical skills for problem-solving Attention to detail Deadline driven and good time management skills Demonstrated proficiency in creating and analysing data sets and independently drawing key conclusions based on the analysis. Ability to work both independently as well as within a team Duties and Responsibilities: Implementation of procedures to ensure good corporate governance principles Contribute to defining regional development of procedures, methods, and documentation. Deal with the contract administration and compliance of all the agreements entered by the project companies. This includes financial administration, investor reporting and fund management. Review and manage compliance with the minimum ratios required by the Finance Documents Compliance of general project documents, PPA, DCUoSA and IA, regulatory Tax compliance, assist tax advisor in compiling and reviewing monthly compliance returns (PAYE, VAT, NSSF and WHT) Monthly EXCO report co-ordination Quarterly Board report co-ordination and presentation Management of Quarterly operational reports Funder, shareholder, board reporting obligations Plan, execute and monitor the obligations of Project Company’s shareholders (equity and shareholders’ loans) Plan, execute and monitor the drawdown of debt from the Lenders (prepare Utilisation requests) Plan, execute and monitor the payment of dividends to shareholders Plan, execute and monitor the payment of interest, repayment of debt to the Lenders, dividend payments and any redemptions of the preference shares Hedge execution and management (interest and foreign currency) Plan and monitor statutory reporting compliance Cost management and control / budget preparation Quarterly foreign currency revaluations Review all capturing done by the Accountant Reporting monthly management accounts and quarterly reporting Management of EPC, O&M contracts, interfaces, project, insurance policies and utility contracts Review annual and provisional income tax returns and VAT Annual audit planning and coordination for each project company Coordinate and review the preparation of Annual Financial Statements for the Project Companies #J-18808-Ljbffr
