While your primary focus will be on product ownership, you can anticipate involvement in a diverse array of domains Responsibilities Product Strategy: Develop and refine product vision and strategy in alignment with company objectives and market demands. Technical Analysis : Collaborate with development teams to understand technical requirements, assess feasibility, and make informed decisions about product features and enhancements. Data Analysis : Utilize data-driven insights to inform product decisions, analyse user behaviour, and identify opportunities for optimization and growth. Project Management : Lead cross-functional teams in Agile environments, overseeing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful product releases. Business Analysis : Evaluate market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to identify market opportunities, define product requirements, and prioritize feature development. User Research : Conduct user research, user testing, and feedback sessions to gather insights, validate product concepts, and iterate on product designs to enhance user experience. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication, managing expectations, and soliciting feedback to ensure alignment with business objectives. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing feedback loops, monitoring product performance, and iterating on features to enhance product value and meet evolving customer needs. Change Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders to propose new strategic and tactical enhancements that decrease risk and costs, increase revenue, and enhance user experiences. Collaborate with technical leads and architects to co-design and implement high quality solutions to real world business problems. To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required. Adhere to consumer duty Role Requirements 6+ years cumulative fintech experience across business analyst or product owner roles in the investments industry. Degree in IT or Finance. Sound knowledge of investment terminology. Experience working with Microsoft SQL. Experience working with Microsoft BI. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly. High proficiency in MS Suite. Experience working in the Scrum project management methodology. Keen ability to self-organise in the face of time pressure and multiple projects. Team player with a willingness to “wear multiple hats” when needed. Ability to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment. Experience working within an offshore Investment or Wealth Management firm are a strong bonus. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years’ experience in one of the world's financial centres managing projects for an investment or wealth manager. This experience will be leveraged in South Africa to support our UK-based company.
