RPO's client who is a holding company that invests in specialized Agri-input companies is currently seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join their team of professionals in the Northern Suburbs. These group companies own, develop, import and distribute a broad range of agronomy, forage and vegetable seeds into mainly Africa, Europe and other emerging international markets.The Group financial accountant will be responsible for month-end accounting and reporting processes, interim/year-end closing and reporting aspects, year-end audit, budgeting process and other financial related projects which could change from time to time. This opportunity allows for the Group Financial Accountant to transition into a Financial Manager over time.Responsibilities:Month End:Preparing loan account reconciliations and product development cost calculationsReview of subsidiaries’ management accountsTax calculationsPreparing group consolidated management accountsYear-end Audit:Management of the year-end external audit requirements/deliverablesEnsure that financial transactions in the group are recorded in compliance with IFRSAssist group companies with technical accounting transactions and year-end reporting packsReview inter-group transactions and loan accountsOverseeing the reporting by group companies (local and foreign) and perform group consolidationsTax calculationsGroup financial reporting packs for submission to a listed companyPreparation of group companies annual financial statementsReportingCompiling of management informationDrafting of reports for the Finance and risk committee and board of directors Other:Tax compliance responsibilitiesCompile group consolidated budgets and budget reporting packCompile Group consolidated cash flow forecastAssistance/involvement with mergers and acquisitionsAssist CFO and CEO with presentations to stakeholders Requirements:CA(SA) qualification3 years post article experienceAFS (full IFRS) / tax / budgeting experienceGroup accounting / consolidation experienceManagement accounting experienceStrong Excel skillsProblem solving skills / can work independentlyBenefits:Medical AidRetirement BenefitsRPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
