The Role This is a perfect job for an experienced sales leader who loves traveling and working with young people all over the world. As a Regional Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage a business development team in a specific region in the USA. Our business developers are alumni of our programs who are still completing their undergraduate degrees at University, at institutions such as the University of Virginia, Vanderbilt, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Michigan. They support us through a variety of activities on-campus, including sending out information on email lists, connecting us with professors, setting up partnerships with clubs and student organizations, speaking with prospective students about their own experience, and more. They are smart, talented, and ambitious students, and our mission is not only to help them grow as young professionals, but also to help them earn back the tuition they paid to us by helping us with marketing and sales. Your goals would be aligned to marketing and sales metrics, as well as the growth and development of your team. Because our primary product is a Summer Abroad program, your role will be cyclical: May - August : our students are at our campuses in Cape Town and Lisbon. Your role will be to connect with as many of them as possible, identify who is likely to be a talented business developer, and hire them into the program. This will likely involve company-sponsored travel to Lisbon to meet students there. September - April : Students return to their full-time degrees in the US. You will be responsible for training and managing them remotely to complete their tasks. The role will also involve 1-2 trips to the US during this time to meet with your team in-person and conduct sales activities on target campuses in the USA. To be a successful candidate, you should have: 5+ years of sales management experience A history of demonstrable success in achieving marketing or sales targets Excellent public speaking skills an executive presence You’ll stand out if you have: International travel experience Coaching and mentorship experience Experience working with 18-21 year old university students (especially if they have been international students from the US).
