This position reports to the Operations Manager of Mr D. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence and Process Optimization: Actively manage and oversee daily operations within specific departments of Mr D, such as order fulfilment, delivery logistics, and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. Develop, implement, and continuously update operational procedures aimed at improving the speed, accuracy, and reliability of the Mr D delivery service. Lead initiatives to systematically analyze performance data from various aspects of the business, including delivery times, customer satisfaction scores, and operational costs. Data Analysis and Process Innovation: Champion innovation in operational processes by identifying and implementing cutting-edge solutions that address customer-facing operational challenges and reduce inefficiencies. Utilise data analytics to generate actionable insights, focusing on improving customer experience and streamlining operational workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse performance data across various business verticals, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and devising innovative solutions to enhance overall operational effectiveness. Team Collaboration and Support: Act as liaison with our partners, share insights, and collaborate on strategies to enhance product availability and quality. Address any concerns or challenges promptly to maintain strong, productive relationships Provide feedback and insights to our Product Team from both customers and partners to help refine and develop features that enhance the user experience and operational efficiency. Manage and resolve payment transaction issues, ensuring a smooth transaction process for customers. Oversee the investigation of order discrepancies and the compilation of reports on operational inefficiencies and customer complaints, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Directly supervise and mentor junior operations team members, fostering a team environment that encourages growth and development. Provide leadership and guidance, especially during critical situations that require swift action outside of regular business hours. Emergency Management: Proactively manage operational emergencies and system failures, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. This includes being prepared to address emergencies during business hours after 5pm and during weekends, ensuring round-the-clock operational resilience. Attributes Strong analytical ability supported by solid Excel skills, showcasing the capability to dissect data and derive meaningful insights. Ability to identify areas of improvement , indicating a proactive stance towards enhancing processes and outcomes. Enterprising spirit and ability to take ownership of tasks , reflecting a drive to innovate and lead initiatives. Willingness to buy into the requirements of a fast-paced start-up environment , with an understanding that peak activity may occur after traditional hours, highlighting flexibility and dedication. Exhibit leadership and team management qualities with the ability to mentor, guide, and inspire junior team members. Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders. Strong team player , indicating the importance of collaboration and mutual support within a team setting. Qualifications&Experience Relevant bachelor’s degree in commerce, engineering, finance or related field. A master’s degree in the relevant field is an advantage. At least 3-5 years of experience in operations, particularly in e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, or a related fast-paced industry. Strong experience in using data analytics to inform operational decisions and improvements. Proficiency in analysing performance metrics and translating them into actionable insights. Experience in managing operational emergencies, including readiness to address issues during after-hours and weekends. Experience in roles that require a strong focus on customer satisfaction, with a proven ability to improve customer-facing operations.
