The role holder will also review work of assistants and administrators. The role holder will be required to prepare management accounts and financial statements at a high-quality standard and a high level of attention to detail, including filings relevant tax filings under review and supervision of their team’s supervisor and/or manager. The role holder will also be required to support the team and certain administration tasks, such as the clients banking and payment services. The role holder will own client relationships and respond to clients requests in a prompt and proactive manner.Duties and responsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring the timely completeness and accuracy of the accounting records while using the appropriate functionalities of the mandated systems.Responsible for the accurate preparation of primary accounting documents, accounting statements and reports required by the client including management accounts (periodic and annual) and roll-forward financial statements (IFRS and/ or IFRS 102)Responsible for certain administrative tasks, such as banking and payment servicesResponsible for meeting the indicated deadlines for each allocated clientSupport compliance related filings (like CBI and tax filings)Executes primary documents in accordance with accounting for fixed assets, inventory items, settlements with customersThe day-to day contact for clients under the guidance of the team’s supervisor/managerResponsible for the accurate booking of all journal entries and accounting documents into the general ledger for allocated clients (depreciation, prepayments, re-evaluations)Reviews accounting entries processed by assistants & administrators.Assists in the maintenance of the chart of accounts, sub-ledger accounts and other accounting application configurationsIdentifies out-of-scope service and providing respective information to the team leader/managerMaintains contact with auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, notaries and other involved parties to obtain the required information for reporting purposes and deal with queries and follow upKeeps up to date with changes in local accounting and tax legislationJob specific requirementsDegree holder in Accountancy or business related disciplinesCandidate with previous Accounting and Financial Reporting experienceResourceful, independent and strong problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and communication skills, with strong ability to plan ahead and organise themselvesAnalytical structured mind set with ability to follow and build upon existing processes and ensure data is maintained with accuracy and consistencyFluency in English, speaking and writingProficiency in MS Excel and MS Word is essential, with experience of local accounting system desirableKey results Areas & Key Performance IndicatorsApproximately 60% Accounting functionApproximately 40% Admin/ Payment supportData Entry completeness and accuracy into the Accounting systemAdherence to ISO27001 Data/information Security protocolsEnsure timeliness and correctness of data provided to clientsMeeting and excel in employee productivity targetEnsure the team’s entities remain fully compliant with accounting and tax legislationSupport process enhancement and continuous process improvements, utilising systems as requiredZero Customer escalations related to delivery within your span of controlCritical competencies for successOperational ExcellenceWill take advantage of learning opportunities to meet the needs of the current jobPromptly and efficiently completes work assignmentsBe punctual in all deliverablesStrives for very high standards of delivery to clientsHas a strong understanding of processes needed to undertake the role successfullyWill keep up to date with business trends / changes in the law that will impact their roleOnly makes decisions within defined limits of authorityHas a basic understanding of TMF Group’s business lines and how TMF is structuredUnderstands and applies control and risk governance frameworks consistentlyFully knowledgeable on the day to day activities required to maintain client statutory recordsLeadership & Resource ManagementReviews own work and some non-complex work undertaken by more junior team members / internsRegularly manages expectations of more senior colleaguesUnderstands own motivation and personal impact in optimizing personal and team performanceActs with integrity and upholds the values of the organization in all they doInterpersonal SkillsCommunicates information effectively in a clear and concise manner (verbal and written work) to both internal and external stakeholdersAble to deal with difficult situations in a calm and diplomatic wayManages internal and external stakeholder expectations with regards to delivery, escalating concerns as appropriateContinuously update supervisor and/ or manager of client deliverables and deadlinesWhat's in it for you?An exciting opportunity in an international companyProfessional development opportunities as well as extensive individual further training opportunities, supported by our TMF Business AcademyA career within an ever evolving marketFlat hierarchies with direct contact to management and international exchangeWant to know more about a career with TMF Group?
