Growth Lending
South Africa, Cape Town
We are Growth Lending. We work with innovative and high-growth companies, helping them to accelerate their growth by providing flexible credit and debt solutions. We provide facilities from £100,000 to £30m and have lent more than £1bn to more than 500 companies and counting. We have a global footprint, with offices in London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Manila, Atlanta and Cape Town. We are looking for someone to join our team in Cape Town as the go-to Finance professional for our Working Capital product. Working Capital generates a vast amount of financial data that must be monitored, processed and audited regularly. Within the larger team, this team member will own the WC stream, supported by our Finance and Operations Manager. He performed this role himself previously, so you will be guided by an expert, while expected to fully own the processes and deliverables. You'll need a Finance degree and strong Excel skills. You should be comfortable using Accounting software (Xero etc.). It is likely you are currently a member of a large team, looking to grow professionally by taking on a larger brief within a smaller team. We have an excellent custom-made IT system that captures the data. It populates sophisticated Excel workbooks and you will use your Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills to produce accurate reports. Your chief points of contact will sit in the organisation; the Finance and Portfolio teams. You will also be interacting with our investors, so you will need self-possession and gravitas to present your work with confidence. You will take great pride in following processes, ensuring accuracy and engaging in problem-solving. In your first year with us we expect you to master all aspects of the role. Over time you will gain the opportunity to enrich processes, enhance reports and achieve greater exposure to the rest of the business. No one sits still in our business; every single person is on a growth trajectory and this role is no different. A love of process and accuracy are the basic requirements for this role. We don't mind if you have no experience of Working Capital, but you need to have worked with large data sets before in a rigorous environment. While high standards are essential, our Finance team is friendly and will support you. We offer exceptional professional growth to everyone across Growth Lending Group, through a mixture of training, coaching and mentoring. If you are interested in our thriving organisation, then get in touch. We do things differently. Growth Lending is no ordinary place to work. From the start we have focused on driving up diversity and inclusion in the financial services space. We strive constantly to ensure that throughout our team, at all levels, we achieve a diversity that matches the world around us and not just the sector in which we operate. To support this aim we offer every member of the team the following: • An organisation that embraces and encourages diversity, top to bottom and end to end • Diverse recruitment panels • Enhanced parental leave policies and practices • Flexible working patterns, including working from home and fitting around the family, plus part-time positions where possible from a business perspective • Strictly monitored and enforced pay equality • One-to-one coaching and mentoring programme from a highly skilled and experienced People team • Access to high quality internal and external training • Excellent benefits and Employee Assistance Programme as standard, with additional external support when required When we say that everyone is welcome , we can prove that we mean it. We are a highly supportive employer and we know we only get the best of the best when the only things we judge are experience, skills and aptitude. Growth Lending's organisational culture celebrates difference and encourages individuality, so start thinking about where you fit in.
