JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Security Manager’s primary purpose is to provide management support within the Security department. The incumbent will lead and support the team to ensure compliance with business processes and contribute to performance improvement within the Security division. The position will be responsible, but not limited to the following tasks:Responsibilities (NOT limited to the below)Identify and mitigate risksControl room managementConduct risk assessments and implement preventative measuresVisit satellite branches on a daily basis to identify possible security riskDaily risk assessments and evaluations of branchesManage on site security staffManage and escort of customers with Non-ferrous loads to and from EppingManagement of Risk within Transport and fleet managementRisk auditing and reportingDevelop a network of intelligence to identify high loss areas and implement corrective actionsEnsure that correct standard operating procedures are adhered toQUALIFYING EXPERIENCEGrade 12 certificate or equivalent5-8 years supervisory experienceCode 8 Driver's License with valid and reliable vehicleKnowledge of security managementWillingness to work overtime and night shift as and when requiredPrevious experience in a physically demanding mining or production working environment would be advantageousQUALIFYING ATTRIBUTESCommitted, hardworking and self-motivatedStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work under challenging conditionsSound communication skills (understand, read and write English)Must be prepared to work overtime when requiredTime management and organizational skillsDisplay a professional work approachAbility to work independently and within a teamExcellent standards in executionOther Information:Reporting to Divisional DirectorJob Type Permanent PositionStandard hours: (07h30–17h00: Monday – Thursday) & (07h30–16h00: Friday)May be required to work overtime as per operational requirementsSalary: We offer a highly competitive package depending on the extent of the applicant’s qualifications and experience.Benefits include:Provident FundLife cover at 4 X annual salaryFuneral cover15 X paid leave days per annumMedical aid – Hospital Plan with Discovery HealthLong service leave after five years of employmentPlease note applications for this vacancy will close on 14 May 2024.We regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
