You will have the important job of delivering containers from the port to our customers safely and on time. The best fit for this role is someone who works hard, is always on time, and knows how to be a good team player.What you'll doThis is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.• Operate a Code 14 commercial vehicle (truck), adhering to road safety regulations and company policies.• Load and deliver the correct containers to customers.• Prepare documentation accurately and ensure all stamps and signatures are obtained.• Follow planned routes and schedules for timely deliveries to various destinations.• Perform regular check in’s with the logistics manager• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior.• Perform other duties as required.RequirementsThis is a list of things you will need in order to be considered for this role.• Clear criminal record• Must have a valid, unendorsed license with a (valid) PDP.• Motivated and career orientated.• Good communication skills, (speak, read and write English)• Prepared to work overtime when required.• Medically Fit with valid/current Certificate• Hands on practical approach to the job• Minimum 5 – 7 Years Driving experience.• Reliable, team player and of sober habits• Knowledge of port operation and transporting• Excellent track record• Good area knowledgePreferencesMeeting the preferences below would be a plus, but if you don't, it won't stop our company from considering you.• South African candidates• In possession of a current port permit• Has completed port induction within the last 6 months.Application ProcessThis is a list of things you will need to do when completing your application to this job.Assessments required for application• Driving assessmentQuestions required for application• Do you have a valid Code 14 (EC) drivers license?• Do you have experience as a Code 14 (EC) driver?• Do you have a valid PDP?
