Somerset West, South Africa Audit Permanent Organic agriculture Job description We are hiring an Auditor to start on Monday, 02/09/2024 , based in Somerset West. You will report directly to the Evaluation Manager. The position will mainly involve the organic and social audits of clients in South Africa but can also include other crops and travel to remote areas of South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, and Namibia. Your tasks You will be responsible to carry out the following duties: Auditing on site (farm, factory, export office) Completing audit reports within deadline Communication with clients regarding compliance assessment Profile Education: BSc, BScAgri or similar tertiary qualification. Experience: Experience in the agriculture and/or certification sector (in particular organic/sustainable/fair trade) would be beneficial Technical skills: High level of computer literacy – confident MS Office user Languages: English and Afrikaans - both essential - spoken and written Behavioural skills: · Independent and self-motivated · Honest and trustworthy · Self-confident · Organized to the point of perfection · Willing and eager to self-learn · Keen interest in sustainability What’s in it for you?
