An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated individual with a completed accounting degree, SAIPA/SAICA traineeship and management experience to join an accounting firm based in Somerset West. The candidate will manage a group of young aspiring accountants and should have the drive and passion to invest in young minds. The team consists of 3 to 6 trainee accountants. In addition to gaining extensive additional accounting and tax experience across a wide range of clients, the firm also has a strong focus on personal development to prepare trainees for the "real world". Duties & Responsibilities Client engagement.Assist the Senior Manager in training the traineesPlanning and management of team's workloadReview and approval of team member's workMonthly management statementsVat reconciliations and submission on e-filingProcessing of bank statementsDrafting of financial statementsReview of various SARS returnsCorrespondence with the SARS regarding various SARS mattersSubmission of supporting documentation to the SARSManagement of monthly budgets of the teamManagement of monthly cash targets of the teamDesired Experience & Qualification Formal Diploma or Degree in AccountingSAIPA qualification and registration will be beneficialGood knowledge of the various tax laws2 to 5 years post articles experienceShould have a passion for training young accounting traineesProven record of accomplishment with strong management skills of team membersKnowledge of Caseware, Pastel, Xero and Excel accounting softwareShould be a person that takes initiative in performing his or her roleShould be familiar with SARS and e-filingDetailed orientated with good time management skills and is able to prioritise affectivelyShould have a strong attention to detail Desired Skills: Accounting SAIPA Caseware Pastel Xero Desired Work Experience: 2 to 5 years Desired Qualification Level: Degree#J-18808-Ljbffr
