Quality Engineer position available in the Helderberg area.A renowned Aviation Engineering company is looking for a “Quality Engineer” to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in the Helderberg Area, Cape Town.Excellent salary (subject to background and experience) on offer and internal career advancement opportunities.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is essentialA minimum of 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry essentialA minimum of 8 years’ working experience is essentialThe ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, work in a dusty and noisy environment with exposure to raw materials and/or finished products is essentialA willingness to travel locally and abroad on supplier and customer visits is essentialExperience in operating in a multi-project environment with different customers is advantageousDemonstrated ability to work on a global level interfacing with diverse cultures is advantageousBroad manufacturing knowledge with regards to requirements covering design, certification and production of aerospace products is advantageousExpertise in AS9100D and POA Part 21G is advantageousExpertise in composite design and manufacturing processes is advantageousExpertise in Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and measuring is advantageousExperience in SAP and 1Factory or equivalents is advantageousKey responsibilities:Have a clear understanding of Aerospace, customer, composite quality requirementsReview and approve clear and robust inspection instructions to ensure customer expectations are met (incoming, moulding, stage, final etc.)Manage requirements to certify and release components to customersShow compliance to the customer requirements via compliance matrixComplete FAIs, source inspections and coordinate customer inspections as requiredConduct lessons learntInternal concession signs off & closureCreate and close off customer concessionsFacilitate FMEA#J-18808-Ljbffr
