Desirable education and experience: National Diploma in Hospitality/Diploma in food service management -Advantageous. Minimum of 2 year catering experience. 1 year Customer relations experience. Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of the catering environment ranging from fine dining to restaurant dining. Knowledge of South African and industry-specific laws. Customer Service Skills. Management Skills. Communication Skills. Exceptional Functions Skills. Ability to balance the budget and save on soft costs. Innovative thinking. Catering for high end functions. Good knowledge of Health and Safety policies and processes relevant to the catering industry. Excellent administrative skills. Computer literate. Key areas of responsibility: Consistently provide and maintain optimum client service on site. Ensure operational excellence is achieved and maintained. Assist in managing the operations according to company processes and procedures, with necessary controls in place. Achieve prescribed financial targets while operating within budgetary constraints. Maintain a professional and comfortable working environment for staff in order to achieve productivity. Conceptualise and provide creative and innovative solutions to client’s requests for functions.
