PLANT ENGINEERNgodwana A vacancy exists for a Plant Engineer that will be responsible to monitor, troubleshoot, & optimize various equipment that drive processes in a plant with a strong emphasis on process improvement & plant maintenance. Qualifications and requirements: Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent, and commercial training.Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) FactoriesRelated Experience11-15 years experience as a Plant Engineer in a power plant / utilities environmentIdeally candidates who will not need to commute due to shut downs and emergency needsHands on in the plant daily Key Performance Outputs: Develop strategies for the Engineering Department in line with O&M strategyDevelop and ensure the implementation of Engineering department work instructions, policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.Proactively reduce breakdowns, ensure effective plant preventative maintenance and plant improvements to deliver above target plant reliability.Overview and assess planned maintenance activities to verify that it is carried out effectively. Physically observe maintenance team on planned maintenance tasks when required.
