Business Analyst - Operations - Fund Services EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent DEPARTMENT: Fund Services DIVISION: Institutional Client Services WORKPLACE STRUCTURE: Hybrid ROLE OVERVIEW PURPOSE OF JOB Reporting into the InstitutionalClient Services Fund Operations team, the Business Analyst will support ourOperational Governance and Control function. The Business Analyst will assist with defining, establishingand maintaining our governance framework and associated controls to ensure theframework is adhered to. They will be required to review all existing Group andjurisdictional policies, identify gaps and working with jurisdictional teams, createnew or update Group and or Operational P's&P's. The Business Analyst will perform a pivotal role ininteracting and engaging with jurisdictional client service teams whererequirements are to be gathered, analyzed and/or documented. They will take responsibility for trackingand reporting progress and delivering training for the Operational Frameworkand controls. In addition, the Business Analyst will beassigned to existing ICS Fund Operations projects and future strategic initiatives,ensuring the timely completion of analysis and planning phases thereof. The Business Analyst mustpossess strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills,be self-driven and able to work both within a team and independently. The rolerequires effective and collaborative communication across multiple jurisdictionalclient service teams and levels of the organization. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Analysis and review Identification of required group and jurisdictional policies. Mapping of policies and procedures to the defined Fund Service Matrix. Gap analysis between existing Group and jurisdictional policies and procedures. Specific analysis and scoping requirements to facilitate project initiation and planning. Root Cause analysis. Documentation Creating, maintaining and/or updating required ICS Fund Operations policies and procedures. Stay up to date with new and existing P&P requirements (Group changes etc) and timely changes to documentation. Documentation and facilitation of policy and procedure board approvals. Recording and maintenance of documentation on centralized documentation repositories. Reporting and tracking Will be involved in Project Management activities, including maintaining project plans, resource mapping, issue escalation, management, and communication of stakeholder requirements to ensure project deadlines are met. Ensure the analysis, review, documentation, approval and implementation of policies and procedures are tracked and reported timely. Provide MI reporting and updates on all assigned tasks and initiatives. Produce spotlight updates on all assigned tasks and initiatives for internal communication and presentations. Present updates to staff, key stakeholders and Directors when required. Collaboration and teamwork Work closely with jurisdictional teams including team leads to document necessary policies and procedures. Facilitating communication: The Business Analyst plays a critical role in facilitating communication across stakeholders and all seniority levels of jurisdictional client service teams. Training Facilitate and provide training and support to end users and key stakeholders. Compliance Ensure policies and procedures adhere to compliance and audit requirements. Maintain data and document version and record integrity. Ensure all jurisdictional policies and procedures are complainant with Group policies and jurisdictional regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Business Analysis qualification. (Advantageous). Min 3 years Business Analyst experience within the Financial Services industry. Min 5 years Financial Services industry experience. Working understanding of Investment Administration (advantageous). Proven track record of applying Business Analysis and documentation skills in the Finance Industry. Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Strong process analytical skills. Logical and critical thinking. Strong Microsoft 365 applications skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Data and process visualization: The ability to create and interpret visual representations of data and processes to provide insights to stakeholders. Working knowledge of Finance and Accounting. Familiarity with Accounting and Investor systems, including Investran, InvestOne, Viewpoint, PureFunds. (Advantageous.). #LI-RA1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
