Responsible for coordinating and defining value delivering centres of excellence (COE) to serve Vodacom Business across domains that are best served at scale, including managed cloud and security, managed connectivity, managed IoT, digital business marketplace, portfolio companies and other managed services. The role is a group role and will therefore include support for the 8 African operating companies of the Vodacom group. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of enterprise managed services across a number or domains, and have experience in delivering effective managed services across multiple African markets. The intention is to drive standardization across markets to foster re-usability, speed of deployment, leveraging shared platform investments across the group to ensure the most efficient product strategy and operating models. This is complicated as the operating companies are very different and have different constraints, and the candidate should be able to drive consensus through collaboration, robust analysis and persuasion and not through command and control. To lead and develop his/her respective relationships with the Vodacom OpCo’s showcasing the Vodacom Spirit behaviours and ensuring that we foster, motivated and engaged people to deliver our business goals. Using influence and negotiating skills, drive the OpCo product roadmaps steering and managing the various product teams to support our group strategy. Help markets navigate new global ICT trends through the maturity curve of fixed, cloud, cyber security, IoT and AI. Own and manage a matrix of commercial and technical relationships between Vodacom Group (Commercial, IT, Risk, Legal, Marketing, etc…), Vodafone (VF Group Product Taxonomy), Delivery Vendors, OpCo’s (8 Markets), Technology Partners and more. The suitable candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills to successfully guide and manage different stakeholders both in market and centrally from product, commercial, marketing and technology, to support executive and senior management strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Working with the different OpCo Exco’s, to develop and agree on overall enterprise managed services and platform strategy. Group managed services and COE SPOC for all markets for managed cloud and security managed connectivity, managed IoT, a digital business marketplace, portfolio companies, and other managed services Develop and motivate multistakeholder business cases including inputs from multiple markets, vendors, partners and other key stakeholders to unlock investments to design, develop and commercialise COEs Develop innovative and efficient chargeback and training models to ensure value delivery to markets and the host COE Improve commercial models and reduce costs through the use of market-aligned COEs to deliver beyond connectivity value propositions at scale Drive the approval and development of COEs across the group and ensure they are delivering on their mandate Collaborate with marketing&research teams to gather market insights&managed services strategy. The ideal candidate for this role will have: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in IT/IS or Commercial. MBA Core competencies, knowledge and experience: Minimum 8 years’ experience in managed services in an ICT/ Telco / ISP Experience across different ICT managed services including fixed, cloud, collaboration, cyber security, IoT&digital platforms. Experience working with multiple vendors. Commercial aptitude to build business cases and drive ROI Closing date for Applications: 06 June 2024.
