Role Headline System Engineers are responsible for the design, development, and implementation of customer projects, according to defined Siemens standards and customer requirements. Responsibilities of the Role · Implementing projects within time, cost and quality parameters. · Transmission Protection and Automation scheme design – interpreting and translating customer requirements into a complete system as well as applying innovative approaches i.e. products, technology and people · Testing of Protection and Automation schemes – be responsible to generate, testing documentation and perform testing at factory and commissioning onsite as required during project execution. · Providing customer support – the Protection and automation system engineer is required to perform post-fault investigations as required by the customer. Proactively identify, review, and manage project technical risks and ensures that appropriate mitigation measures are in place. · Support Business development by Identifying Business opportunities and Market Potential in the Utility, Infrastructure, Industry and other market verticals. Qualifications and Experience · BSc or B.Eng. in Electrical engineering · 3 to 5 Years of Protection Design experience · Good understanding of protection and substation automation technology systems · Registered as Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist with ECSA · Experience in WinCC design and implementation. · Experience in Siemens SICAM PAS gateway configuration, Siemens SICAM RTUs configuration (Advantageous) · Independent working style, highly flexible for global travel and going the extra mile · Excellent communication&professional networking skills · Strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work with teams and stakeholders around the globe · Highly desirable professional experience outside of home country · Fluent in English · Valid Driver’s license · Passport Attributes and Skills · Strong analytical skills · Ability and willingness to challenge status quo · Willingness to get directly involved with operational matters · Strong communication skills; must be able to interact with all levels of the organization in both local and international organisations. · Ability to quickly adapt to new challenges in changing environment · Decision making skills · Must be willing to travel.
