Internal Sales Representative (Solar/Energy) 2024-05-14 - 2024-06-13 Permanent JHB000985 We are looking for an Internal Sales Representative in the Energy/Solar sector, Midrand The role of the In-House Sales Representative encompasses driving revenue by selling products and/or services via telephone or online mediums. This role calls for the ability to build and maintain relationships, identify customer requirements, and seal business deals. Job Duties and Obligations: 1. Cultivate and sustain rapport with existing clientele. 2. Discover and validate new sales prospects. 3. Generate potential contacts via cold calls, e-mail marketing, and other techniques. 4. Initiate follow-ups on potential leads and inquiries. 5. Address inquiries from both internal and external customers, ensuring swift resolution and maximum gain. 6. Meet monthly sales goals and actively contribute towards sales expansion strategies. 7. Respond timely to customer sales inquiries, preparing and providing quotes within stipulated timelines. 8. Deliver premium service to phone and online/e-mail sales clients, meeting their needs efficiently and professionally. 9. Keep customer details up-to-date in the CRM system. 10. Oversee customer accounts and recognize opportunities for upselling. 11. Collaborate with the external sales team to ensure customer contentment. 12. Stay current with product and service knowledge to resolve customer queries. 13. Support the sales team in performing administrative duties such as quote assembly, order processing, ensuring adherence to payment terms, and arranging and monitoring product deliveries. 14. Aid the sales team in scheduling appointments with potential clients for product demonstrations and business service presentations. 15. Support the sales and project teams during the tender procedure with administrative tasks such as research, cost estimations, etc., as required. 16. Handle financial report tasks, including processing quotes, generating invoices, and creating purchase orders. 17. Provide assistance and support to the sales team as required. 18. Regularly update internal price lists to ensure they align with company standards. 19. Consistently maintain a current customer database. Skills Desired: - Experience in customer service. - Capability to manage a variety of tasks in a high-pressure atmosphere. - Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of urgency. - High ambition to achieve. - Exceptional interpersonal skills. - Attention to order, quality, and precision. Entry Qualifications: - Matriculation, + any additional education and qualification relevant to sales responsibilities. - 3+ years of demonstrated in-house sales experience in engineering, mining, or agriculture. - Outstanding communication skills, the ability to work with diverse teams, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving. - Proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of French is a benefit. - Capability to work in a rapid-paced setting, handle multiple tasks, set precedence, work autonomously and effectively as part of a team, and perform under stress. - Superior computer skills.
