Education Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Relations, Labour Law or related field.Minimum Experience Required (Min 5 years)Experience in employee relations or Industrial Relations.Extensive experience in dealing with Unions.Extensive experience specializing in Industrial Relations, showcasing ability to handle Labour Relations matters such as disciplinary actions, retrenchments, and other HR process effectively.FMCG/Manufacturing experienceEnsures compliance with labor laws and regulations, safeguarding the rights of both employees and the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvises and works with Human Resources staff and other managers of unionized employees to ensure compliance with the contract.Assist initiators in preparing for internal enquiries and providing the Presiding Officers with information relevant to setting precedent, previous outcome decisions etc.Advises management and union officials in development, application, and interpretation of labor relations policies and practices.Develop, implement, and provide an all-encompassing industrial relations training.Consolidate Industrial relations information and compile monthly reports.Analysis of absenteeism, provide management with a daily / weekly report on absenteeism and action taken and ensure consistency.Report on the analysis of all action taken and ensure consistency.Prepares statistical reports, using records of actions taken concerning grievances, arbitration and mediation cases, and related labor relations activities, to identify problem areas.Facilitate IR administration.Facilitate investigations for disciplinary hearings.Prepare and issue disciplinary charges.Prepare for and initiate internal disciplinary hearings.Drafting of disciplinary warnings.Facilitate CCMA & Labour Court-related administration.Draft applications to the CCMA.Prepare month-end IR reporting.Facilitate Department of Labour and Employment responses to contravention notices and compliance orders.Managing relationships with unions & ensuring that the Company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.Handling complaints, managing grievance procedures, and facilitating counseling in conjunction with other stakeholders.Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement in area of work.Manages grievance procedures to handle complaints that result from disputes with unionized employees over the collective bargaining agreement, work rules, and interpretation of the meaning of the contract.To represent the Company at CCMA/ Bargaining Council level on disputes i.e., Conciliations and arbitrations.Conduct special investigations as needed. Manage all consultations with attorneys and record relating costs and expenditure.Monitors implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions, to ensure compliance with terms of labor contract.
