Market related - Market related Monthly Cost To Company As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services necessary for mining operations. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier selection and contract negotiation to risk management and compliance. Key Responsibilities: General:Develop and oversee a continues improvement strategy (Balance Scorecard) for Group Procurement ServicesStandard procurement process across all group companiesIntegrate Procurement, Maintenance, Operations and IT processes.Achieve synergies across sites and conduct strategic vendor assessment.Identify spends and provide opportunities for improvement.Sourcing and Supplier Management:Identify and assess potential suppliers for mining materials, equipment, and services.Conduct negotiations to secure favourable terms, pricing, and contractual agreementsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chainContract Negotiation and Management:Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms align with project requirements and industry standardsMonitor contract performance and address any deviations or issues in collaboration with legal and operational teams.Cost Optimization:Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to maximize savings while maintaining quality standardsConduct regular market analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends in the mining industryCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and cost efficiencyCompliance and Regulatory Adherence:Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure procurement practices comply with relevant mining and environmental standards.Develop and maintain documentation for audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.Risk Management:Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.Monitor geopolitical, economic, and industry-specific factors that may impact procurement and supply chain stabilityCollaboration with Internal Stakeholders:Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.Provide procurement expertise and support to ensure the seamless execution of mining operations.Budget Management:Develop and manage procurement budgets in alignment with overall project and organizational financial goals.Track and report on procurement expenditures, providing regular updates to senior management.Continuous Improvement:Implement best practices in procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and innovation within the procurement team Minimum requirements: 8+ years relevant experience, preferably 4 years of managerial experienceDegree in Supply Chain ManagementGood understanding of mining charter and BBBEEKnowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the mining sectorFamiliarity with ERP systems and procurement software#J-18808-Ljbffr
