Key Responsibilities:Purchasing managementSource new suppliers when required or drive sourcing activities from existing suppliersSupport Coal Origination field team with pricing analysis and evaluation of offers from 3rd party coal suppliers where requiredSupport Road Transport team with pricing analysis and evaluation of offers from Transporters where requiredCosting analysis for reporting purposes and to identify potential areas for cost savings/optimization.Provide input where necessary when the function resides with other role playersManage the procurement officer to ensure fulfillment of this KPAContract management (suppliers, mainly coal mines contracting terms)Conclude trade agreements with suppliersContracting with 3rd party coal mines for coal, Transporters and contracting with other suppliers to meet the needs of the logistics businessMonitor Contract Compliance as per contractual obligationsManage the legal officer to ensure fulfillment of this KPA to ensure that trade terms and agreements are concluded efficientlyAnalysis and reportingConduct commercial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvementProvide insights and recommendations to management based on commercial and financial dataProduce the relevant reports required for the role within the stipulated time frameCredit management and management of supplier invoices payment activitiesMonitor credit limit with the mines, ensuring timely arrangements when neededEnsure timely processing of supplier invoices and payment, including prepaymentsManage provisions and payment requests for coal contracts and every vesselTeam managementProvide guidance and mentorship to the team and ensure timely work executionConduct training sessions on processes and procedures when requiredIdentify areas of improvement for optimization and recommend actionDevelop and drive a high-performance cultureMinimum requirements:Diploma/ Degree in Accounting / Cost Accounting / Business / Economics5 years experience in Commercial / Procurement roleTrucking, commodity trading, logistics experience preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulationsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelMaintain a professional work ethic in dealing with relevant stakeholders#J-18808-Ljbffr
