We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our organisation. This position will be based in Gauteng (Midrand). The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of all finance activities and related reconciliations on the full trial balance of the RMI and Associations. Keeping strict and appropriate records to run both internal and external audits. To do statutory payments on behalf of RMI, balancing all accounts relating thereto. The resolution of all tax related queries. Keeping full and adequate records relating to vendors including but not limited to BBBEE, POPIA and fulfilling other statutory requirements. Control stock and fixed assets for the entire RMI, including providing adequate insurance cover for all assets. Responsible for the efficient management of all finance activities related to payroll and benefits. Provides financial reporting to the identified stakeholders. Full understanding of the RMI database and processes related thereto. Duties&Responsibilities The responsibilities are as follows: •All financial reconciliations including balance sheet and income statement accounts; •Track stock correctness, find reasons for differences and complete reconciliations; •Control and monitor all fixed assets; •Ensure full insurance cover on all RMI assets, including cybersecurity and submit any claims; •Full database function, including an understanding of the RMI Constitution and the application thereof to the RMICore; •Service provider tracking and administration based on the approved RMI Procurement Policy, including but not limited to SLA’s, BBBEE, POPIA. Check and verify all vendor reconciliations prior to sending through for approval and payment; •Financial reporting on all aspects of the administration function; •Control fleet cards, commissions and other staff benefits for inclusion in payroll; •Completion, checking and submission of statutory returns; •Monitor and control internal and external audits. Desired Experience&Qualification Minimum Qualifications: B Com Degree or 3 - year accounting diploma OR qualified by extensive experience (NQF6/7) EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years financial experience.
