Job title: Actuarial AnalystThe Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to provide insight into the financial implications of risk and uncertainty for various insurance and financial products. They will work closely with the Actuarial team to develop and enhance pricing models, perform statistical analysis, and conduct actuarial valuations.Responsibilities:Preform calculations required under SAM, SARB reporting, and internal management reportingPerform calculations and scenario testing for the ORSA cycleProvide technical support for new business investigations and provide technical support for pricing reviewsDevelop data requirements and reporting templates to support regulatory reportingDevelop business requirement specifications through discussions and interviews with relevant stakeholdersTracking of companywide offshore investment capacityPerform or review portfolio revisions or individual contract adjustmentsDevelop customized specifications for data extracts depending on business needsDevelop functional and technical specification documentationContinuously identify and implement incremental improvements to current processes, independent oflarger project deliverablesLiaise with relevant stakeholders to prioritise project deliverablesEffective stakeholder management - keep management, users and developers informed of progress through effective communication and management of expectationsRequirements:A relevant tertiary qualification is essential –Bachelor’s Degree (Finance / Risk Management / Mathematics /Actuarial science)2-3 years’ experience as an Actuarial or Risk analystIf following the Actuarial track, steady progression with Actuarial examsRegistration as a student member with ASSABasic SQL and programming skills requiredMust have Financial Services experienceWork experience in a stockbroking/security environment beneficialInvestment Management or LISP platform experience beneficialMust have creative skills in providing possible solutions to business requirementsIf you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or emailing your CV to Hire Resolve at financialcareers@hireresolve.za.comYou are also welcome to contact Michaela Boustred on LinkedIn or call her on 021 551 8638.Please note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
