The Chief Financial Officer direct and oversee the financial activities of the The Group, manage the preparation of financial reports and create forecasts predicting future growth. Qualifications and Specific Skills Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on accounting. Possesses accreditation from CIMA. Exposure to international business. Accumulates 4-5 years of experience as a Financial Manager, showcasing a strong foundation in financial management practices. Exhibits advanced proficiency in Excel, capable of leveraging its functionalities for complex financial analysis and reporting. Experience with Sage software is preferred, offering an additional advantage. Possesses the flexibility and willingness to travel as needed to fulfil job responsibilities. Demonstrates an understanding of advanced accounting principles, regulatory compliance standards, and adeptness in tax planning strategies. Key Responsibilities Ensure Law and Regulatory Compliance Ensure regulatory compliance with special reference to: South African Revenue Services (SARS) CPIC FICA Oversee and Prepare Financial Reporting and Compliance Prepares reports and documents covering accounting transactions for management review. Prepare and facilitate the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for presentation and submission to the CEO and Board within stipulated timeframes and in accordance with prescribed norms and standards. Prepare accurate&timeous accounting reports for internal stakeholders as required. Internal Control and Auditing Oversee the compilation of financial statements. Liaise with Auditors and co-ordinate external interim and annual audit. Ensure that the recommendations of internal and external audit are implemented and adhered to and elimination of existing audit queries. Management Manage finance personnel. Oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities. Ensure regular staff development in order to improve efficiency. Oversee and Manage the Budget Processes Establishes budgets, provides periodic financial analysis. Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information. Oversee forecasting and budget reports on monthly basis. Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses. Ensure cash flow is according to the organization's operational requirement. Investment and Future Growth Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks. Makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets. Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure. Manage return on Investment according to shareholders expectations. Company Compliance Fulfil any ad hoc duties as assigned by the Board. Adhere to the company Human Resources policies and procedures. Follow the guidelines outlined in the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Comply with Occupational Health and Safety legislation relevant to the workplace. Report any irregularities and observed or identified during work activities to management. Forecasting Establish forecasts for the future cash flow projections. Leading Financial Planning and Analysis Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyse internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement. Financial Risk Management Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
