Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a skilled Estimator to join their team.Responsibilities:Ensure that the work content of the tender is accurately capturedIdentification of Technical, Logistical and Vendor RisksIdentification and mitigation of Commercial risksSubmit to and Evaluate Vendor’s quotationsRFQ review in detailComplete and check the estimating input sheets aligned with ClientComplete and check the Labour Rates and propose mark-upsQualify alternative / non-compliance with RFQSubmit complete Estimates on timeOngoing review of Vendor ListInvestigate CompetitorsEvaluate and adapt standard estimating rates and pricing to suit RFQEnsure the BOQ is accurately compiled and meets all contractual requirementsPreparation of Preliminary and General costs which are aligned directly to the prepared tender scheduleAccurately evaluate clients’ technical and commercial needsGather accurate information on all tender requirements and forward it to relevant stakeholdersCompile accurate sub-contractor inquiries and adjudications thereofArrange and attend site inspectionsCompile tender summaries, including sub-contractors and man-hour normsAttend and report to bid clarification meetingsEngage with contracts departments during and after handover and during site start-upsUnderstand and comply with taxation, levies, and duties imposed on the contractorDevelop good working relationships with clientsDeal with special requests and requirementsCalculate an overall cost for the project in line with Company project proceduresPrepare accurate cash flows; plant and labour histograms; power and water requirements; organizational charts; site lay-down facilities; plant and labour day work rates; addenda to tenders and estimated fuel consumptionEnsure implementation and compliance of Estimating policies and proceduresMust adhere to all Safety policies and proceduresAbility to work under pressureWill be required to do work within your abilities from time to time that is outside the Job Description as detailed aboveRequirements:Grade 1215 years of related experienceComputer literacyMining/Engineering related qualificationQuantity Surveyor DegreeProject Management experienceProficient in CCS Estimating SoftwareBenefits:Salary negotiableFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Training & DevelopmentPlease note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
