Ensure the successful implementation and management of Sanlam Strategic Partnership initiatives, which is focussed on long-term insurance agents. This job is focused on the retention and profitable growth of allocated and new intermediary portfolios through the development and management of strong relationships with Sanlam intermediaries and internal business partners, to support the Group strategy.What will make you successful in this roleSupporting Santam sales strategy & business plan in line with the regions Targets.Establish and manage strong relationships with brokers including business managers.Growth and profitability of allocated broker portfolio.Working with brokers in developing a business plan to grow business.Assist in identifying new potential brokers and opportunities for business growth.Awareness of competition and market information.Facilitating the sales process and ensure that brokers deal with correct channels.Facilitating sale of quotes.Monthly analysis of figures down to broker level.Reporting at Broker Services regional meetings.QualificationsCompleted GR12Short term insurance related qualification or COP certificationFAIS credits (commercial and personal lines)RE 5 certificationValid driver’s licenseAt least 5 years personal lines and commercial experience in an operational environmentExperience in maintaining and growing a profitable portfolio of commercial and personal insuranceKnowledge and SkillKnowledge and experience of the Santam / Sanlam synergies will be beneficial Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)Good communication skills (verbal and written)In-depth knowledge of financial analysis processes and statisticsTechnical product knowledge with regards to short term insuranceTechnical underwriting knowledgeExcellent inter-personal and problem solving skillsPersonal AttributesBusiness insight - Contributing through othersInterpersonal savvy - Contributing through othersDecision quality - Contributing through othersPlans and aligns - Contributing through othersCore CompetenciesCultivates innovation - Contributing through othersCustomer focus - Contributing through othersDrives results - Contributing through othersCollaborates - Contributing through othersBeing resilient - Contributing through othersBuild a successful career with usWe’re all about building strong, lasting relationships with our employees.
