Job Description: Marketing Manager Purpose:To manage the marketing function of the relevant mall / malls. Focus on the development andexecution of the marketing strategy with results driven / return on investment focused marketing. The role reports directly to centre management.Main duties and responsibilities:Summary of duties below:Marketing Strategy:Develop and execute the malls marketing strategyInclude input and support from centre and portfolio management and regional and head of retail marketingSecure approval from portfolio and asset managementCampaign Plans and Strategy Execution:Develop and present campaign plansInclude input and support from centre management and regional and head of retail marketingInclude measurable KPI’s and provide post campaign reports (results v objectives)Include sponsorship targets as key KPIDigital Strategy:Develop and execute digital strategyIncluding website, database management, social media, digital reputation management and other / innovative digital solutions (mobile app, mobile payments, influencer marketing etc.)CSI Strategy:Develop and execute CSI strategyManage and report on free on Non GLA and GLA space for CSIAlign with Red Thread (where relevant)Keep detailed reports and add to monthly reportsTenant Marketing and relationship management:Develop and execute tenant marketing and relationship strategyFocus on relationships:Manager tenant databaseWelcome new tenants / tenant welcome packTenant meetingsTenant communication (including monthly newsletter)Other tenant focus areas:Secure participation in marketing initiativesReport on tenant performanceDrive and execute tenant initiatives (like Smartten)Footprint awards:Entry into Footprint awardsEnsure at least 1 big idea is conceptualised and executed each year (or more as per KPI’s)Non GLA:Drive income and ensure the mall reaches targetsSell promo and kiosk space or assist Non GLA teamAssist in set up’s and strike downs of all exhibitions (in line with process)Include Non GLA ideas and campaigns in the marketing strategyCompletion and submission of check listsReporting:Development and submission of monthly reportFocus on post campaign / initiatives reporting to show results v objectivesOther:Execute crisis communication when required (in line with policy)Track, manage and report on all shopper complaintsManagement of all guest relation officers and marketing assistants (if relevant / on site)Loading and vetting of new suppliersManagement of all suppliers / strategic partners (such as media agencies, design studio’s / agencies, events companies, website partners, social media agencies, print and production suppliers etc.)Management and storage of all marketing stock / materialsManagement and storage of Christmas DécorThe above duties are the main duties required to be successful in this role, however, the employee can be requested to perform other duties and responsibilities from time to time during his/her employment with the company, based on its operational requirements.
