Overview Job Title: Strata Control Officer Location: Klerksdorp, North West We are seeking a skilled and experienced Strata Control Officer to join our client’s mining operations in Klerksdorp, Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology and relevant experience in strata control within the mining industry. Responsibilities: – Conduct geotechnical assessments to determine the stability of mine workings and surrounding rocks – Develop and implement ground control plans to ensure the safety and stability of mining operations – Monitor and analyze ground conditions to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate mitigation measures – Provide technical support and guidance to mining personnel on strata control issues – Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards – Work closely with other departments to optimize mine design and planning for safe and efficient operations Requirements: – Matric with Maths and Science – Strata Control Officer certificate of competence – Minimum of 3 years of experience in strata control within the mining industry – Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and practices – Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills – Ability to work effectively in a team environment – Good communication and interpersonal skills – Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to mine safety and strata control Benefits: Salary: negotiable Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
