ROLE SUMMARY: In collaboration with the Executive Head and Head of Preparatory, to lead a forward thinking, safe, child centered and inclusive, and happy ELS. The successful applicant will lead the daily operations, manage, support and inspire their team, and be responsible for delivering excellence in education. To create a positive learning environment that ensures children are able to achieve their full potential. STRATEGIC CONTRIBUTION OF THIS POSITION To drive educational excellence that creates an enthusiasm for learning. To develop an inclusive environment wherein children can thrive. To ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies. To exemplify and drive the vision of Inspired Schools. STAFF MANAGEMENT DUTIES Lead ELS team meetings to story, reinforce an d to action the School’s vision, ethos and strategy. Lead the appointment, appraisal and management of all ELS staff. Monitor, manage and implement the ELS budget and resources, curriculum, calendar and timetable, CPD programme, assessment and reporting systems. Ensure the marketing of the campus is effectively undertaken. Take responsibility and assist with the mentorship of all new ELS staff members. Work in close collaboration with the Executive and Preparatory Head in the development of the school. Play a lead role in the positive implementation of equal opportunities. When required, to support the Disciplinary process. STUDENT MANAGEMENT DUTIES Build constructive relationships with students and parents. Ensure clear and concise communication on admissions, academic programmes and individual attainment, and discipline matters. Manage safeguarding roles, responsibilities and procedures within the ELS. Create and maintain an attractive, effective and exciting environment for learning. Promote the image of the school. Ensure that there is a culture of respect throughout the ELS. PASTORAL CARE AND DISCIPLINE Be approachable and caring towards students, parents and colleagues. Lead with compassion. Address conflicts in a professional manner. Be proactive, honour commitments and maintain positive relationships. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Serve on committee structures as delegated and required by the school. Participate in all required meetings and actively add value. Take responsibility for personal professional growth (i.e. attending CPD activities). Monitor, manage and feedback on assigned projects. Successful leadership experience (preferably Headship) in a pre-primary context. Experience of teaching and leading others to follow the Reggio Emillia approach. Strong analytical and project management skills. Confident and dynamic personality. Strong creative outlook.
