RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established building contractor in Cape Town, is currently seeking to employ a qualified and hardworking Junior Estimator who can join their successful and growing team as soon as possible. Responsibilities: Preparing accurate cost estimates Assisting with tender submissions Packaging RFQs (Request of Quotations) Compiling comprehensive BOQs (Bills of Quantities), as well as measuring and drawing-up of BOQs from drawings Attend site clarification meetings for tenders and provide feedback to Senior Management Following up on RFQs sent out to Sub-Contractors, ensuring that the most competitive priced quotes are received on each trade for the tender Build relationships with various Sub-Contractors and Suppliers to ensure the best pricing is received in the market Requirements: BTech in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification in the built environment Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience working in a building contractor environment Proficiency in CCS Candy and MS Office essential Valid Driver’s License and own transport Excellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills Good decision making and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritise and focus on deliverables A motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution driven approach Evidence of achieving deadlines in a demanding environment Benefits: Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
