We are looking for a Security Engineer for a company based in Cape Town. This is a remote role.Your primary responsibility will be to protect the integrity of the company's systems and sensitive information. You'll be tasked with addressing the complexities involved in fortifying IT, software, and setups, guaranteeing that their platforms maintain robust security measures while upholding their scalability and uninterrupted availability. Develop and maintain security features (pentests, firewalls, authentication); Conduct security reviews of software code and various infrastructures; Collaborate with teams to address vulnerabilities; Automate security anomaly detection and alerting; Investigate security incidents and innovate security solutions. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE Strong understanding of security risks and mitigations Proficiency in backend development, IP networking, Linux/Unix, and Agile practices Experience in web security (OWASP Top 10) and code quality/security 4+ years of experience in a similar security-focused role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Advantageous: Security certifications (CISSP, OSCP) Container orchestration () experience Database, search technology (Search), and DevOps skills Experience with specific programming languages, authentication technologies, and monitoring/infrastructure management tools #J-18808-Ljbffr
