The Accountant will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial reports from various business units.General Ledger Management:Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, resolving any discrepancies.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, identifying and explaining variances.Internal Controls and Compliance:Accounts Payable and Receivable:Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices.Monitor aging reports and manage collections to optimize cash flow.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
