The position will support the Financial Director and Financial Manager and be responsible for company and landlord/client financial, accounting, and other administrative duties and functions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES o Preparation of financial statements, management accounts, budgets and annual financial reports o Overseeing the administration and financial systems, procedures and controls · Financial operations (FinOps) management: Management oversight of – o MDA financial accounting and administrative duties and functions § Receipting tenants’ trust deposits and payments § Facilitate Third Party Fund Administration (TPFA) investments § Rent reconciliation and journaling § Facilitate landlords’ expense and utilities payments; e.g. municipal accounts & SARS § Tenant trust payments and receipts § Municipal utility accounts due by tenants § Legal expenses and fees recovered from bad debtor tenants § Supplier expenses and fees for landlords’ account § VAT payable by landlords as reflected in cashflow and rent roll statements § Business account receipts, payments and invoices o Credit control duties and functions § Reconciliation landlords’ accounts to ensure accurate representation of outstanding balances § Resolution of any queries or issues with debtor aging reports § Facilitate promise-to-pay arrangements with debtors § Handover of bad debtors to attorneys for collections § Reporting to landlords § Administration and record keeping of all property related processes regarding the portfolio § Assisting with data processing as and when required o SARS and related tax compliance & requirements o Accounting standards · Insurance: Company & client insurance requirements · Compliance & corporate governances o COIDA o FICA & RMCP o POPI & PAIA o BBB-EE strategy & compliance with the Amended Property Sector Code o Manage compliance relating to all regulatory & other controlling bodies o Company secretarial functions · Effective client & stakeholder relationship management: Engage, liaise and maintain good relationships with landlords, tenants, local municipalities, contractors/suppliers, company accountants & auditors, SARS and other stakeholders, where required JOB REQUIREMENTS · CA or similar qualification · Experience in accounting function · Technically strong and knowledge of IFRS · Experience in preparing financial statements, management accounts, budgets and annual financial reports · High level of competencies & skills required: Time management, ability to work independently, attention to detail, strong communication (verbal & written), well organised, problem solving, analytical, financial acumen, managerial · Proficiency with MDA software desirable · Computer literate (MS Office) with strong excel skills 1 person has applied for this job. 87 people have viewed this job.#J-18808-Ljbffr
